Residents enjoy huge Afrikaans music show
The annual Proe’toria is a festival that is all about Afrikaans music and food.
The fifth annual Proe’toria music festival attracted thousands of Afrikaans music enthusiasts over the weekend to the Pretoria Botanical Gardens in the east of Pretoria.
Presented by Leon and Rochelle Pheiffer EPH Group in partnership with Belgravia Gin, the event saw 18 talented Afrikaans artists share the stage to treat their fans to live music on Saturday and Sunday.

The audience also enjoyed wine and delicious food testing before choosing whether they should purchase them or not from various businesses at the venue.
“The festival is all about Afrikaans artists, testing nice drinks and food and bringing Afrikaans music lovers together,” said Marketing Zoo representative Vicki van der Merwe.
The Marketing Zoo was responsible for organising and marketing the Proe’toria event.
Van der Merwe said the event was a major success.

She said they kick-started the event on Sunday morning with the gospel to thank the Lord for having one of the best events in the Capital City.
According to Van der Merwe, Proe’toria was growing from strength to strength.

“Attendance is definitely growing compared to last year’s event. This was because we hosted this event at a much bigger venue than the previous one.”
