Another body has been found in the west. Recently, a decomposed body was found in Daspoort. In Pretoria alone approximately six dead bodies have been found in streams and other places.
A second body, that of a 46-year-old male was found in a stream on the N4 highway between the Transoranje Road and Quagga tollgate, in the west of Pretoria on Sunday morning.
Police were alerted by a passer-by about a body lying in the stream, according to police spokesperson Captain Thomas Mufumadi.
“At 09:45 the body of an African male was found in the stream on the N4 highway. The man had several open wounds on his head and body.” Mufumadi mentioned that so far, they are still determining what may have happened and no arrests have been made. The police are investigating a case of murder.
In a period of a month, this is the second body that has been found in the west. Recently, a decomposed body was found in Daspoort. In Pretoria alone approximately six dead bodies have been found in streams and other places.
There is speculation that the recently found body could have been dumped in the stream on Saturday night, as it did not appear to have been there for long.
Police urge the community to come forward with any information they may have regarding the corpse.
“If anyone saw or knows anything, they must please contact their nearest police station,” Mufumadi concluded.
