Ga-Rankuwa police are on the hunt for suspects after a 23-year-old man was found dead at a railway line in Zone 1, Ga-Rankuwa.
“The man identified as Thabo Mosue was found lying face-down and brutally beaten with what we suspect to be a blunt object. He had severe injuries to his head, arms and legs,” said police spokesperson Warrant Officer Matthews Nkoadi.
He stated that they suspected the victim was assaulted and then dumped at the railway line. “It seems he was killed elsewhere yesterday and his killers threw his body near the railway line in Zone 1” he said.
At the moment there are no suspects. “We are requesting that community members assist us with the arrest of the perpetrators. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist in the investigation should come forward,” Nkoadi said.
Members of the community are urged to report any information in connection with the suspects to the Ga-Rankuwa police station. The crime stop number 08600-1011 can be called or an SMS can be sent to the crime line at 32211, said Nkoadi.
