Man arrested for possession of ammunition, SAPS official reflector jacket
A man was recently arrested in Steve Biko Road for illegally being in possession of ammunition and an official police reflector jacket.

The police arrested a 33-year-old man after they discovered ammunition and a police reflector jacket in his possession. The suspect allegedly pretended to be a police official.
Warrant officers Jacques Oosthuizen, Heinrich Jansen van Vuuren, Daniel Bruwer and Constable Larissa Laas from the Wonderboompoort police were conducting routine patrols on Friday when they noticed a suspicious man waiting in his vehicle at a petrol station in Paul Kruger Street.
The suspect seemed nervous and drove off to another petrol station in Steve Biko Road. The officers followed him and decided to approach his vehicle when his demeanor remained unchanged.
“During their interview, the suspect informed the officers that he intended to refill his vehicle with fuel. They searched his vehicle and found a .38 special revolver round and an SAPS official reflector jacket,” said Warrant Officer Wanda Olivier, spokesperson for the Wonderboompoort police station.
She said the suspect was arrested and the ammunition and reflector jacket seized and booked into evidence. The man will appear in court on Monday.
