A man is in a critical condition after he was repeatedly stabbed with a knife in his back and kicked while lying on the floor.
The incident happened at a fuel station in Theron Street, Heuweloord on Sunday afternoon.
As the police arrived at the horrific crime scene, the suspect returned and was arrested.
Police spokesperson Captain Agnus Huma confirmed that a case of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm had been opened against the 57-year-old suspect.
The suspect appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate Court on Monday.
According to Huma the police is investigating the matter and more arrests are possible.
