The sewage in Eldoraigne on Island and Waynne Roads has been overflowing for the past two weeks, residents said on Wednesday.
According to them the matter has been reported to Tshwane but nothing has been done about it.
“This poses a health hazard as people have to inhale the stench of the sewage every day. The human faeces bubbling from the sewerage system is highly unacceptable,” said one resident.
Another resident said it is a mystery why Tshwane has not attended to this matter because it has been reported by several people. An inquiry was sent to Tshwane metro and at the time of going to press, no response had been received.
