An alleged drug addict, who apparently stole goods from a convenience store at the Engen filling station on Hendrik Verwoerd Drive in Hennopspark, was swiftly arrested by a Monitor Net team on Wednesday.
Hannes Laage, Monitor Net spokesperson, said the reaction team was called to the filling station after the owner noticed the man, believed to be in his late twenties, stealing from the store on closed circuit television cameras.
Laage said the man was searched and dagga and drug-related paraphernalia were found in his possession.
The man apparently admitted to being addicted to drugs, saying he needed about R400 a day to sustain this habit.
He was handed over to the Wierdabrug police.
