Tshwane bus service interrupted

Commuters are advised to use alternative transport as bus services are interrupted due to an illegal work stoppage, the Tshwane metro council said.

Bus commuters are advised to use alternative transport as bus drivers downed tools on Wednesday, the Tshwane metro council said.

Spokesperson Selby Bokaba said bus drivers took to an illegal work stoppage, however the reason is not yet known.

“The Tshwane bus service management is engaging with the labour union in order to remedy the situation.”

Commuters are advised to use alternative transport as bus availability is not guaranteed in all areas.

“The [Tshwane metro] apologises for the inconvenience caused to the affected commuters,” Bokaba said.
