For years South Africans have been plagued by power outages at the most inconvenient times.
The power giant announced a new load shedding stage on Friday, but Eskom has seldomly said before in statements that stage 3 has two sections, A and B. The B phase of stage 3 has been renamed to stage 4.
The stages will be as follows:
Stage 1 – 1 000 megawatt
Stage 2 – 2 000 megawatt
Stage 3 – 3 000 megawatt
Stage 4 – 4 000 megawatt
The exact date when stage 4 will be implemented has not been confirmed yet.
However, the reasoning behind the changes has been made clear. It is to communicate clearly with Eskom stakeholders.
