Chances for load shedding remains high on Friday.
Eskom has announced on their Twitter page that the load shedding prognosis is relatively high for Friday, and solely depends on the performance of the power plant.
Consumers are urged to cut back on electricity use for the duration of the long weekend.

Eskom has just announced that Stage 1 load shedding has been scheduled on Thursday afternoon from 17:00. The power cuts will probably commence until 22:00.
“This is due to a shortage of generation capacity as several units are currently out of service due to maintenance,” Eskom said in a further statement.

But Eskom’s acting Chief Executive Officer Brian Molefe on Wednesday said the utility didn’t foresee any load shedding over the upcoming long weekend during the ‘ maintenance festival’ because there was a lower demand for power over weekends.
Consumers across South Africa are urged to continue to use electricty sparingly over the next few days.
