Man held over Mamelodi killing
A man has appeared in court in connection with the murder of a woman in Mamelodi last year.
A man accused of the murder of a Mamelodi woman has appeared in the Mamelodi Magistrate’s Court, police said.
Daniel Ntokozo Masango (25) remained in custody and would be back in court next week for a bail application, said spokesperson Captain Doniah Mothutlane.
Masango has been linked to the murder of Katlego Ndlovu, who was killed after a night out with her boyfriend. Her naked body was found near a dumping site in Mamelodi East Extension 6 in September last year.
Masango was arrested on Monday and appeared in court the same day.
Ndlovu was one of three women killed and dumped in different areas of Mamelodi last year.
Ndlovu, Letta Letsoalo and Kagiso Tshebetshebe were all killed in September, leading the community to believe that a serial killer was on the prowl.
Mothutlane said the police investigation was continuing.
Anyone with information on the matter could call Crime Stop at 08600 10111 at all hours.
