Teachers participate in fun run
More than 1 500 teachers participated in fun walk.
More than 1 500 from all over Gauteng participated in a fun run aimed at encouraging a healthy lifestyle, fitness and creative thinking among teachers – a habit the organisers hoped teachers would be able to transfer to pupils.
The run was held at Lyttelton Manor High School sports grounds in Centurion on Saturday morning.
Thousands of teachers came with their running shoes, water bottles and running attire.
This was the first time the South African Council for Educators (Sace) hosted such an event but it is hoped from now on it would be an annual event.
