Rekord Newspapers celebrate Heritage Day

Rekord Newspapers had a celebratory boerie-braai at our offices on Wednesday. Take a look through the gallery to see what people wore.

Excitement was in the air on Wednesday morning, when employees of Rekord Newspapers celebrated Heritage Day at their office with a delicious boerie-braai and a few cold ones (alcohol-free, of course) in the parking area.

People of all races, ages and cultures dressed up in what could only be described as a sea of bright colours and patterns.

When it was time for the best-dressed man and woman to be announced, everybody gathered to cheer on their creativity.

With an extremely close count of votes among employees, Ron Sibiya, Rekord Newspaper’s photographer and multimedia journalist, won in the best-dressed male category for his exquisite take on a Zulu man, and credit controller, Thandiwe Seabela, won in the best-dressed female category.

Here’s to a happy Heritage Day to all in South Africa!
