Man arrested for bestiality
A man was charged with bestiality after he allegedly raped a dog in Temba, north of Pretoria.
A man allegedly raped a dog belonging to a client in Mmotla Village in Temba, north of Pretoria, the Tshwane SPCA said.
Spokesperson Mishack Matlou said the 32-year-old man was arrested on Sunday. He abducted a client’s dog after doing work at her home.
“He was working at a woman’s house on Saturday but when he left, he took the dog with him,” he said.
“The woman returned to his house on Sunday to notify him that his work was incomplete. That was when she saw her dog,” said Matlou.
Police spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi said the woman noticed her dog limping. She took a closer look and discovered that he had suffered an injury from penetration.
“When she asked what happened to her dog, the man denied injuring the animal. That is when she called the police.”
Moremi said police inspected the man’s room and found dog fur on the bed.
According to Matlou, semen was also found on the bed.
Moremi said the man admitted to sleeping in the same bed as the dog but denied raping the animal.
“He is facing charges of bestiality.”
