Father hands over murder accused son to police
A father has handed his son, who is accused of stabbing a 42-year-old man to death, over to the police.

A Soshanguve father has handed his son, who is accused of stabbing a 42-year-old man to death at a local tavern, over to the police.
“The 24-year-old man was arrested on Sunday afternoon,” Lieutenant Colonel Katlego Mogale said.
The young man was charged with murder and was expected to appear in the Soshanguve Magistrate’s Court soon.
Mogale said the 24-year-old allegedly stabbed the 42-year-old during a fight.
“It is alleged that the fight started in the tavern when the suspect threw a bottle against the wall and its pieces ricocheted and hit the victim,” Mogale said.
“An argument erupted, leading to a fight between the suspect and the victim. The suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim several times.”
Mogale said the victim, whose family was still being traced, was declared dead on the scene on Saturday afternoon.
The accused was in hiding, but his father took him to the police.
