Increased lawlessness was reflected in national crime statistics for South Africa which were released this week. The Moot area did not escape an escalation in certain crimes.
The Pretoria West police station, which falls under the Pretoria Moot cluster, saw a 53.3% increase in attempted murders, while the Atteridgeville police station documented a 4.1% decrease in drug-related crimes.
Eersterust police station also experienced a decline in murders by a staggering 44.4%, while Hercules police station had a 28.7% increase in common assaults over the past year.
