Three men who robbed a bakery truck in Soshanguve recently are still at large, police said.

Spokesperson Warrant Officer Lolo Mangena said a Blue Ribbon truck was robbed while making a delivery at a tuckshop in Block PP.

“An armed man appeared and ordered the men to hand over money and truck keys at gunpoint,” he said.

Mangena said the truck driver and his crew ran into the tuckshop while the robber helped himself to R2 500 and a cellphone.

Mangena said the robber then handed the key to a boy who was going into the tuckshop to pass on to the driver.

“The suspect and two other men who had remained inside their vehicle during the robbery, left the scene in a Toyota Conquest that did not display any registration number,” he said.

A case of robbery was opened at the Soshanguve Police Station.
