Murder accused Henning to wait eight months
Nico Henning will reportedly plead in eight months.
Murder accused Nico Henning, the man who is thought to have ordered the murder of his wife Chanelle, will have to wait eight months before he can plead in his trial.
According to reports, the state and defense agreed to postpone the case until 2016, meaning Henning will have to wait until the trial resumes on 6 June 2016 to plea.
He appeared in the North Gauteng High Court on Monday and is charged with murder.
His motive was apparently to gain custody of their young son.
Former policeman Gerhardus du Plessis and his friend Willem Pieterse are currently serving 18-year prison sentences after confessing to the murder of Chanélle in December 2011, just a month after the shooting.
André Gouws and former Nigerian olympic athlete Ambrose Monye are both serving life sentences for their involvement in the murder.
Henning is currently out on bail.
