Police nab two for stolen cables
Two men were arrested for stealing electrical cables after a tip off by an Eskom employee.

Two men were arrested on Tuesday for stealing electrical cables in worth R 250 000 in Cullinan.
The thieves, aged between 20 and 30 years were caught after a tip off by an Eskom employee who had noticed a loose aluminium conductor on a farm.
The thieves were reported to be driving a blue Nissan 1400 with no number plate. Three of them were seen leaving the farm and were said to have driven off towards Mamelodi.
Police traced them and arrested two at Bynespoort. One evaded capture and was still at large.
The thieves were found with numerous electrical conductors which they had hidden in nearby bushes
They would appear in the Cullinan Magistrate’s Court soon.
Cullinan police spokesperson Constable Connie Moganedi said anyone who had seen any other suspicious activity could call the Cullinan Police Station on 012 734 1431 or Crime Stop on 0860 10 111.
She applauded police for their victory in arresting the thieves.
“Police are doing their best in ensuring the safety and security of citizens and their property,” Moganedi said.
