Metro police arrests three for stolen cables in Cullinan.

Three people were arrested for cable theft in Cullinan on Monday, Tshwane metro police said on Tuesday.

Spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said two women and one man were arrested after they were caught in possession of stolen cables in a scrapyard.

“We got a tip-off and an observation was made to catch the perpetrators. The three were arrested on Monday morning at 10:00, in Beynestpoort,” he said.

Mahamba said the stolen cables recovered were valued at R270 000.

“Also recovered was Telkom property valued at R 24 510.

Police were not on the scene during the arrest,” he said.
