Pedestrian accident leaves man critical

A man was hit by a car in the east of Pretoria on Friday, leaving him in a critical condition.

A man was in a critical condition after he was knocked by a car on Solomon Mahlangu Drive near Garsfontein Road.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said this happened around 17:30 on Friday.

Paramedics found the man lying on the ground with life threatening injuries, he said.

“After medics stabilised the patient, they immobilised him on a trauma board before transporting the critically wounded man to a nearby hospital for the care that he required,” Botha said.

Police were investigating the events that led to the accident.
