Body found cuffed and burnt

A man was found handcuffed and badly burned in Cullinan on Saturday.

Police appealed for information after a burned body of an unknown man was found in Cullinan on Saturday.

Spokesperson Constable Connie Moganedi said the body was found handcuffed on a plot in Jakkalasdans by a cattle herder.

“The deceased’s body was handcuffed and burnt very badly, however, the face could still be recognised,” she said.

She said the man was aged between 40 and 45.

Moganedi could not confirm the details surrounding the death but a murder case was opened.

Anyone who might have information on the man or his family is urged to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer July Maseko on 082 696 7667 or Moganedi on 079 695 1388.
