Danville Kwikspar robbed again

Danville Kwikspar robbed for the second time in a week.

The owner of the Kwikspar in Danville was robbed on Tuesday morning.

A CPF official, who asked not to be named, said the owner was on his way to the bank.

“He apparently realised he was being followed and turned the car around and headed back to the store.”

The robbers shot at him to force him to stop before robbing him off the takings he was going to bank.

The official said the keys to the owner’s car were also stolen.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Anne Poortman confirmed the robbery but could not give more information immediately.

The same Kwikspar was robbed barely 10 days ago.

On 11 October, five men carrying AK47s walked into the store and ordered staff and customers to lie down.

When the robbers saw CPF members approaching the store, they started shooting at them and two — Shimon Theron (19) and Hennie Prinsloo (60) — were wounded the robbers fled.

Both are recovering well at home.

A couple of days ago, a resident who lives near the Kwikspar, reported a bullet stuck to the wall of his home.

The police removed it and took it for ballistic tests.
