Two arrested for hijacking truck
Police arrested two men on Wednesday in Pretoria Central after a truck was hijacked in Hammanskraal.

Two men were arrested in Pretoria Central on Wednesday after hijacking a truck, police said.
Spokesperson Sergeant Ann Poortman said the two hijacked a truck in Hammanskraal on Wednesday morning, and were caught hours later in the Pretoria CBD.
“The driver and his crew were hijacked by two men while on their way to deliver items. After the incident, a tracking device in the truck was activated. The tracker company and the police followed the truck,” she said.
“The signal led them to Olivia Cash and Carry, 101 Francis Baard Street, where the truck was stopped,” she said.
Poortman said the two men were found inside the truck and were arrested at the scene.
“The two suspects, who are foreign nationals, are aged between 29 and 33 and will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court soon,” she said.
Poortman said the truck was carrying tyres and disposable nappies. The two men had a tracker-jammer in their possession when they were arrested.
