Actor’s alleged hijacker claims to be harassed in jail
He told the court that prison warders harassed him because they miss seeing Tau Mogale on screen.
The man accused of hijacking Generations: The Legacy actor Rapulana Seiphemo, claimed to be tortured by prison warders because the warder missed the actorn on their screens.
Nathi Msiza (26) appeared at the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Friday and told the magistrate about difficulties at the Kgosi Mampuru II prison.
According to reports, Msiza said prison warders were harassing him about the case.
“They tell me that they don’t see Tau Mogale on Generations because of me. Yesterday they beat me up and [electrocuted] me.”
Msiza was advised to report all claims of harassment to prison authorities.
Seiphemo, who plays mogul Tau Mogale on the popular SABC 1 soapie, was discharged from hospital last month after a collision on the N14 in February left him in a critical condition.
According to reports, Seiphemo lost control of his Audi A4 when Msiza and his accomplice were allegedly hijacking him.
His car apparently caused an accident, killing three people during the alleged hijacking. One of the three was Msiza’s accomplice.
Seiphemo finally broke his silence this week when he took to Instagram and expressed how the experience nearly ‘destroyed’ him.
“As you all know by now, I went through a traumatic incident a number of months ago. I am well on my way to recovery; a recovery that would not have been possible without the thoughts and prayers of so many of you: my supporters, family and friends.”
