NEWSFLASH: Woman arrested for boyfriend’s murder
Police believe a dispute between the man and his lover resulted in the fatal stabbing.
A woman was arrested in Hammanskraal on Tuesday in connection with the murder of her boyfriend.
Police spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi said the 38-year-old woman and an accomplice were taken into custody at Carousel View.
The two apparently killed the 39-year-old boyfriend on Monday night and dumped his body in a nearby veld.
“It is believed the woman asked her 63-year-old male neighbour to assist her to kill her boyfriend,” said Moremi.
“The victim was attacked last night around 21:00 and was apparently stabbed in the chest several times.”
Moremi said it appeared the couple had an argument but it was not immediately clear why.
A neighbour alerted police on Tuesday.
“On their arrival, they found the woman and her accomplice trying to clean up the blood to conceal evidence,” said Moremi.
The two were immediately arrested and were expected to appear in the Moretele Magistrate’s Court soon.
