Man held over firearm
One of the men ran away as soon as police stopped their vehicle.
A man was caught with an illegal firearm and ammunition in his possession in Hammanskraal on Monday.
Police spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi said the 30-year-old man was arrested at Ramotse Section.
“When police stopped a vehicle, one of the occupants opened the door and ran away.”
The other man in the car was arrested after the police found a loaded Loren model firearm inside.
He was linked to a business robbery at Unit 8 in Temba last month, Moremi said.
The man was expected to appear in the Moretele Magistrate’s Court soon.
