Plasterer robbed at Pretoria primary school

Armed robbers took R85 000 from him.

A man from Johannesburg was robbed of thousands of rand on Friday afternoon, at a primary school in Pretoria.

Eliot Masepula (61) was doing plastering work at Elarduspark primary school when a gang of robbers approached him.

“Two of the men were sitting in a car and three others with guns approached him.”

The robbers took about R85 000 in cash from him as well as his ID.

“They then drove off,” said Masepula.

Police were called to the scene and a charge of armed robbery was laid.

Masepula said he carried the cash with him because he had to pay some of his beneficiaries.

“I have to pay people. Now I have a problem, I can’t pay anyone.”
