NEWSFLASH: Three Moreleta Plaza shops hit overnight
“They broke into a jewellery store and later hit two cell phone shops. The robbers stole property valued at approximately R800 000."
Three robbers broke into as many Moreleta Plaza shops in the east of Pretoria early Friday morning.
Garsfontein police spokesperson Warrant Officer Dave Miller said the men entered the premises at around midnight and tied up the security guards before gaining access to the plaza.
“They broke into a jewellery store and later hit two cell phone shops. The robbers stole property valued at approximately R800 000,” he said.
Miller said no shots were fired and police were still looking for the robbers.
“We are currently following up on leads and our detectives are on the scene.”
A shop owner at the Plaza confirmed that all three shops were vandalised and that no one was injured.
