A hijacked truck was found with the driver tied up in Lyttelton, Centurion on Tuesday afternoon, Tshwane metro police said.
In their statement on Facebook metro police said officers responded to a truck hijacking signal in Lyttelton.
“They followed the signal and managed to trace the truck at the N1. Upon arrival, they found the driver of the truck tied up and R200 000 taken.”
A case of attempted hijacking and armed robbery was opened.
Metro police appealed to anybody with information to contact the nearest police station or metro police at 012 358 7095/6.
