The man was arrested after Tshwane metro police officers received a tip-off.

A laptop thief was arrested at his house in Gezina, Pretoria Moot, on Sunday.

Tshwane metro police spokesperson Phindile Molefe said the man was caught after officers received a tip-off from residents.

The 35-year-old man had three stolen laptops in his possession.

“The value of the laptops is still unknown at this stage,” said Molefe.

The suspect was detained at the Wonderboompoort police station and is expected to appear in court soon.

Meanwhile, eight more suspects were arrested around Pretoria over the weekend.

“They were arrested for possession of and dealing in drugs in Sunnyside and Pretoria North,” said Molefe.

All suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
