Man arrested after a house break-in
The man had made a quick getaway on foot with the stolen goods.
A 27-years-old man was arrested after breaking into a house in Villeria, the Moot.
The man was caught a few blocks from the house after he made a quick getaway on foot.
Police found a computer notebook and jewellery on the fleeing man.
Police spokesperson Captain Anton Breedt said the man was found in possession of the goods and he could not give a reasonable explanation on how he got hold of it.
The break-in response came through a member of a security company that received information from community radio about the suspect that was on foot, running along Hertzog and Louise Trichardt streets in Rietfontein, the Moot.
