Two arrested in drug bust

Two men were arrested on the scene and the drugs were confiscated.

Two suspected drug dealers and distributors were arrested in the north of Pretoria recently.

The men were caught in the Sinoville area after police received information about the crime.

“Constables Thulani Mngomezulu and Claudinah Ratshibumbela received information that dagga was being delivered at a complex for packaging and distribution,” said police spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan van Dyk.

“It is suspected the suspects involved were distributing and selling the drugs in the area.”

Police investigated and caught two men in the act of wrapping the illegal narcotics in individual bags, ready to be sold.

“The men were arrested and police confiscated 2.99kg of dagga with a street value of R1 500,” said Van Dyk.

Sinoville station commander Colonel Johannes Ramakamakama Kekana thanked the police officials for their dedication and “keeping the streets clean”.

“This is once again a good example of how the public and police work together to make our community safer for all,” he said.
