A woman was robbed at gunpoint by culprits who followed her home on Monday.
Centurion Concerned Citizens said: “The armed robbery occurred in Lotus lane, Irene.”
Spokesperson Hannes Du Buisson said the woman had an errand to run at her bank.
Four men in a white Mercedes Benz followed her home. They robbed her off her rings and handbag before fleeing the scene.
Du Buisson said no registration number was available for the car.
“We have noticed a number of these types of robberies where people have been followed from the bank and robbed at their residence,” he said.
The Lyttelton police station was not immediately aware of the crime.
In a another recent crime in Centurion, two men in a white Kia stole an ATM card at the FNB branch in Mulders Mile.
They were still being sought this week.
Concerned Citizens supplied some safety tips to motorists and bank customers
“Please follow the guidelines for carrying cash safely and drawing money at an ATM.”
