NEWSFLASH: Six armed robbers assault restaurant owner
The suspects fled the scene with the victim's vehicle.
Six robbers held the owners of Golden Valley Japanese Restaurant on Broadway East in Valhalla at gunpoint on Tuesday evening.
The robbers fled the scene in a blue Hyundai Atos with an unknown amount of cash, cellphones and jewellery.
One of the owners was injured when he was assaulted by one of the robbers, and had to be taken to hospital.
Monitor Net Security spokesperson Paul Gerber confirmed the robbers fled the scene with one of the owner’s vehicles.
Hannes Du Buisson, of Centurion Concerned Citizens, posted on their Facebook page a resident spotted the vehicle on Eeufees Road, close to the military hospital, on Wednesday morning.
“The car was stripped of all four wheels.”
