Robbery drama at Centurion club
“It was in the early hours of morning, when the suspects entered, armed with firearms.”
A Centurion night club was robbed on Sunday, the police have confirmed.
Lyttelton Police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller said Recess Night Club & Cocktail lounge was robbed by a group of armed men.
Miller said: “It was in the early hours of morning, when the suspects entered [the club] armed with firearms.”
He said one staff member believed to be the security guard, was injured in a shooting.
“The man was shot in his left leg,” Miller said.
Miller said the robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
“The guard was also robbed off his wallet and bank cards,” he said.
Miller said that the robbers were still at large.
