Pta student stabbed to death
The victim had apparently locked the culprit out of their room.
A Pretoria student was stabbed to death, apparently by a roommate, on Thursday night.
Police spokesperson Kay Makhubele said this happened in a hostel on the Pretoria West campus of the Tshwane University of Technology.
Makhubele said the attacker used a sharp object.
“The student died on scene.”
Some news reports suggested that the two clashed after the victim had locked the second student out of their room.
Makhubele said the motive for the attack was not immediately clear.
The attacker was arrested on the scene and would appear on a murder charge in court soon.
