100% pass rate for St Alban’s College

The school had an impressive 100 percent pass rate for 2016.

St Alban’s College’s top three 2016 matriculants made their school proud with their many distinctions.

The school had an impressive 100 percent pass rate for 2016.

Bjorn Ter Haar was the school’s top learner with eight distinctions for accounting, advanced programme mathematics, Afrikaans, English, life orientation, life sciences, physical sciences and maths.

“This year I am going to study civil engineering at the University of Stellenbosch,” said Ter Haar.

Ter Haar’s hard work during the exams was rewarded with a holiday in Struisbaai.

Sunghyun Park came second with eight distinctions for Afrikaans, English, maths, German, history, information technology, life orientation and music.

“I am planning to study political science and international relations at Yonsei University in South Korea,” said Park.

Park has big dreams to pursue a career in the United Nations.

With seven distinctions, Matthew van Coeverden de Groot was the school’s third top learner.

He achieved seven distinctions for maths, life sciences, Afrikaans, English, history, life orientation and physical sciences.

He said he planned to study medicine at the University of Pretoria this year.

He enjoys playing guitar, reading, hockey and public speaking.
