Over 100% growth at The Way Christian School

The Way Christian School achieves 100% pass rate for all 16 years that the school has had matric learners.

The Way Christian School has been operating in Centurion for 19 years.

Erika Hoffman, principal, spoke at the Thanksgiving and parents’ information evening to celebrate the achievements of the school to date and share plans for future developments.

She reported that learners have achieved 100 percent matric pass rates for all 16 years that the school has had matric learners.

The school aims to provide Christian education of the highest standards with special emphasis on mathematics, science, business and arts and culture.

Highway Church and The Way Christian School established a partnership based on a shared vision in 2015.

The school has moved into their new premises in 229 Erasmus Street, Raslouw.

Everyone is enjoying the new facilities and the school is bustling with energy as new children and staff have been integrated and the school year is now underway in earnest.

The school has had 100 percent growth this year and now has two grade 1 classes and two grade 8 classes.

The school has already acquired the adjacent land where a sports field, tennis courts, netball courts and classes for the high school phase will be developed.

The long-term development includes plans for state-of-the-art science labs, media centres, a multipurpose hall as well as sporting facilities.

The school is operating on a non-profit basis so income will be ploughed back into the school ensuring the continued improvement of facilities and the highest standard of teaching.

Callie Swart, the school’s CEO said: “All the achievements are clearly nothing other than the blessing of our Almighty God and Saviour, for which we give Him all thanks and glory.”
