Pta cyclethon to raise money for charities
“We urge all Pretoria residents to have some fun with us and to support this very worthy cause.”
Pretoria’s first every cyclethon will be held at Menlyn Park shopping centre on Saturday.
The event will see members of Planet Fitness and a few Blue Bulls players take to 75 spinning bikes to raise money for the Smile Foundation and HospiceWits.
Award-winning actor and theatre producer Harry Sideropoulos will act as MC, encouraging participants through 50-minute intervals of intense spinning.
“Planet Fitness is honoured to support the cyclethon at Menlyn Park and giving back to both charities,” said Planet Fitness CEO Manny Rivera.
Rivera said it was a great morning to raise money for kids while getting fit and having fun.
“We urge all Pretoria residents to have some fun with us and to support this very worthy cause.”
Vodacom Blue Bulls captain Boom Prinsloo, said being able to help raise money for a great cause was something the team was motivated by and they would be going all out on the day.
“We look forward to a great day of cycling, raising money and spending time with our supporters, who we urge to turn up in their numbers and support this fantastic initiative.”
The cyclethon will take place from 08:00 until 13:00.
