Hatfield is to become be a car-free zone for two Fridays in a row.
Burnett Street, between Festival and Grosvenor Street, is expected to be closed off to all privately-owned vehicles on 20 October and on 27 October.
These car-free Fridays will co-incide with Green Mobility Fridays aimed at encouraging people to be less dependent on their cars.

The idea is for them to use alternative modes of transport such as the Tshwane bus service, Gautrain and taxis.
The city, not only promoting environmental friendliness, also intended promote healthier lifestyle choices, said mayor Solly Msimanga.
Metro officials would play along and ditch their vehicles on Friday.
“Green Mobility Fridays are part of the city’s transport month activities taking place under the theme, Together we move the Capital City forward,” said the mayor.
Tshwane MMC for roads and transport councillor Sheila-Lynn Senkubuge said the initiative was all about stepping out of comfort zones.

It was about getting into buses and taxis and onto bicycles or doing footwork on both Fridays.
“One understands that using public transport might not be as enjoyable as commuting in your own vehicle, but it does ease congestion, reduce emissions and gives you plenty of quality time to get to know your neighbours or people working around your workplace.”
Msimanga said transport month activities would be wrapped up by the annual 30km Tshwane Green Ride at the Hammanskraal Sports Complex on 29 October.
“The Tshwane Green Ride was initiated to make communities aware of the importance of non-motorised transport as a safe and healthy mode of transport.”
He said members of the public who would like to participate in the Green Mobility Fridays, car-free Fridays or the Tshwane Green Ride could send their enquiries to greenup@tshwane.gov.za.
