
Three blocks of houses in Annlin, north of Pretoria were left with extensive water damage in the early morning hours of Wednesday morning.
According to Tshwane Emergency Services spokesperson, Johan Pieterse an over flow of water led to a flash flood.

“We received a call at about 04:15 this morning. We were the first emergency services on the scene.”
Pieterse said three blocks of houses were damaged with gardens and garages also damaged by the massive amount of water.
He confirmed that no one was injured. “The homeowners were instructed to evacuate their homes immediately.”
City of Tshwane spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo said the situation is under control and the water has been shut down.
“We do not know exactly yet what the cause was.”
Ward 50 councillor Aletta Breytenbach said it is believed that electronic equipment was stolen at the Wonderboom reservoir which led to the flooding.
She thanked members of the community who assisted her in dealing with the disaster.
