No electricity in Mamelodi

The power interruption is expected to last until 12:00 tomorrow morning.

Residents of Mamelodi will have no electricity overnight, Tshwane metro said.

Spokesperson Selby Bokaba said the power failure in Mamelodi east on Monday is because of cable faults.

“The metro’s technicians are attending to a power failure affecting Mamelodi east and extension 22 due to two cable faults.”

Bokaba said the power outage was expected to last overnight.

“It is estimated that the power supply will be restored tomorrow at 12:00.

All electrical points should be treated as live at all times, the metro cautioned.
