A Welbekend man, caught with the carcasses of slaughtered cattle, is expected to appear in court on Wednesday for bail application.
The 59-year-old man briefly appeared at the Welkebend periodical court, east of Pretoria on Friday, said police spokesperson Sergeant Tsietsi Lamola.
The case was, however, remanded.

Last Thursday, local police officers spotted a Nissan bakkie along the R50 road between Bapsfontein and Bronkhorstspruit, he said.
The police stopped the vehicle; however, four men got out and fled into the bushes.
“The driver was found in the bakkie and arrested. The bakkie was loaded with chunks of slaughtered cows.
“The arrested driver could not account for the carcasses in the bakkie,” Lamola said.
“Through preliminary investigations, three cattle were recovered slaughtered in Bronkhorstspruit,” he said.
“The suspect was also linked to 12 cases of stock theft and one case of possession of suspected of stolen goods.”
Police are searching for the other four suspects who escaped the scene.
