No one has been arrested for the attack on former Springbok legend Naka Drotské.
Drotské was shot and injured in a robbery on a smallholding in Kameeldrift, north of Pretoria, in November last year.
“We are pleased to hear that Naka is doing well,” said Ian Cameron, head of AfriForum community safety forum.
“We are less pleased to know that no one has been apprehended for the crime that nearly cost him (Naka) his life.”
Drotské – along with another old Springbok Os du Randt – were visiting his brother Tinus and his family when the robbers stormed the house.
Drotské was rushed to a hospital in Montana with three gunshot wounds.

He was discharged after a few days then returned to his home in Bloemfontein.
He was re-admitted to hospital after suffering an unspecified medical setback.
Drotské is now recovering well at home.
Tinus was reported to have moved out of the rented home where his brother was grievously injured.
“He is now staying in a secure (sic) estate in the same area,” said Cameron.
Last year two suspects were taken in for questioning but later released when evidence to link them to the attack was not found.
Police spokesperson captain Kay Makhulela said on Wednesday that the police are still investigating and no one has been arrested.
