Ga-Rankuwa police have launched a manhunt for two women believed to be rapists.
This comes after two men reported they were raped in two separate incidents by two women fitting the same description this week.
Police spokesperson Matthews Nkoadi appealed to the public to assist the police arrest the two women.
“The two women thought to be aged between 25 and 30, were allegedly driving a maroon hatchback VW Polo.”
It was believed that the women, accompanied by a male armed with a firearm, were behind the crimes.

“The modus operandi is to give desperate hitch-hikers a lift. Then the other suspect will point a gun at the victim as soon as he is in the vehicle. Then they drive to a secluded area where the victim will be raped by both women and left there stranded.”
The suspects were described as two “good-looking” women and a male companion.
“The police are appealing to male hitch-hikers to avoid boarding this vehicle. At the same time, we request assistance from community members who might have noticed these incidents to report them immediately,” said Nkoadi.
