He said the suspect would be charged for dealing in drugs.
“This suspect is one of the 601 people arrested in operations conducted in the Tshwane district.”
Makhubele said the other suspects were arrested for crimes ranging from murder, rape possession of stolen property and other cases.
Makhubela said drugs were an infestation in communities.
“Drugs have become a serious concern for the police and hence the adoption of the fight against the scourge as one of the provincial commissioner’s priorities.”

He urged members of the public to play an essential role in the fight against crime after this arrest.
“Communities are thus encouraged to continue to report crime and suspected criminals to the police by visiting the nearest police station or calling the crime stop number 08600 10111, anonymously should they choose to.”
Makhubela said the arrested suspects would appear in various Gauteng courts soon.
