Eleven people and more than R20 000 worth of drugs were seized during recent Tshwane police flying squad operations.
“Four were arrested in Mamelodi for possession of drugs including cat and dagga with an estimated value of R28 000,” said police spokesperson Constable Buhle Rahatji adding a further three were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
“Another four were arrested around Pretoria for possession of stolen and hijacked motor vehicles,” she said.

Seven abandoned vehicles were also recovered in various parts of Tshwane.
“The vehicles included a white Hyundai reported stolen in Kameeldrift; a white Isuzu reported stolen in Mabopane; a white Range Rover reported stolen in Lyttelton and a blue Toyota Yaris reported stolen in the CDB,” she said.
Rahatji said the vehicles were reported stolen in March and April this week.
The suspects (aged between 22 and 40) will appear in several magistrate’s courts to face charges of unlawful possession of drugs, unlicensed firearms and stolen property.
