Rietgat police in Soshanguve have arrested 26 suspects wanted in connection with a variety of crimes.
Spokesperson Captain Stephen Maluleka said a “successful” operation was held at the weekend.
Maluleka said one of the suspects was arrested for arson, while others were nabbed for assault with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, common assault, theft out of motor vehicle, rape and burglary at residential premises.

Rietgat station commander Brigadier Ramakamakama Kekana applauded and commended members for going an extra mile in ensuring that wanted suspects were apprehended and charged.
He thanked the community for their continued support in informing the police about the criminal activities and the whereabouts of wanted suspects in the precinct.
Suspects will soon appear in the Soshanguve magistrate’s court.
