UPDATE: No arrest in Centurion woman stabbing

Police are still investigating leads following the incident.

Police are yet to make an arrest following the stabbing of a woman in Centurion last week.

The woman had been stabbed during an armed house robbery at her home in Apiesdoring Drive in Heuweloord.

The crime took place on Friday.

The Wierdabrug police have confirmed that no suspect in the stabbing has been arrested.

Police are still investigating leads, according to Wierdabrug police spokesperson Captain Agnes Huma.

A man attacked the woman and stabbed her during the robbery.

Two cellphones were taken.

She said a case of armed robbery was opened at the police.

Police urged anyone with more information to contact the Wierdabrug police.

Hannes du Buisson from Centurion Concerned Citizens previously said the woman had to be admitted to hospital to get stitches.

“She has been released from hospital and is recovering at home,” he said.
